Monday 26th September

Cuchulainns Triumph in Under 16 Championship Final
Last week turned out to be a busy but more importantly a successful time for our under 16 squad who retained the Under 16 county championship title.

Semi-Final
On Monday evening in the Athletic Grounds the lads played against Killeavy in very harsh wet and windy conditions. Cuchulainns started the game playing downhill with the aim of building up any sort of a lead and despite the poor conditions throughout the field the lads first touch was of a high standard, with the backline working solidly to keep Killeavy away from the goals. Hard work from midfielders Rory Mc Grath and Lorcan Oliver played delicate balls into the full forward line and as a result the score count started to build with points from Sean Mc Cann and Barry Coulter, the latter getting a goal leaving the score at the half time break Cuchulainns 1-08, Killeavy 0-00.
On the restart the primary aim for the Cuchulainns was to add scores to their tally whilst staying strong at the back to protect their lead and after conceding a goal and a few frees the Cuchulainns battled hard and managed to pick off 1-03 and ran out winners on a scoreline of Cuchulainns 2.10, Killeavy 1.6

Final
Saturday afternoon, again in the Athletic Grounds and in much improved weather conditions, the boys lined out against a strong Craobh Rua side in the county final.
On this occasion the Armagh lads played the first half uphill and against a breeze, and after a rather quick throw-in from the referee, Cuchulainns conceded a goal – not the best start for a final. Whilst this startled the defence the lads responded well and turned on the pressure on the opposition forward line.
After a number of attacks from Craobh Rua in which they picked off some fine scores the Cuchulainns opened their account from a well taken shot with another score following soon after. Both teams fought hard to hold possession of the ball and with the standard of tackling; hooking and blocking, all over the field meant that scores before the half where minimal.
Half time Cuchulainns 0-05 Craobh Rua 1-07
The second half game plan was all about attack and pressuring the Craobh Rua defence so the management made a change in personnel around the middle to aid this. Things moved slowly in the first ten minutes as Craobh Rua soaked up the pressure initially only to start conceding fouls that resulted in pointed scores from Barry Coulter which helped bring Cuchulainns back into the hunt. As the game entered the last ten minutes all eyes were on the free taker, Coulter as he lined up the ball about 25m from the goals. The connection was sweet and the ball hit the net – a tied game. The goal gave a massive lift to Cuchulainns support and players and as the game entered the closing stages the next four attacks for Cuchulainns raised four white flags, coming from Joe McElroy and Pearse Toal. As the game moved into additional time the Craobh Rua lads were finding it hard to get the ball over the midfield, largely down to the work of the Cuchulainns strong defence and midfield.
Final Score Cuchulainns 1.14 Craobh Rua 1.10
After the final whistle, captain Sean Muldoon led his team up the steps to the presentation area to receive the trophy from county chairman Paul Duggan. In his speech he thanked the players for their efforts throughout the year, the management team for their support and commitment and to the opposition for their part in a fine encounter.

The Under 16 panel

Stephen O'Keeffe Success for Young Cuchulainns
In late August a panel of 28 young Cuchulainns, their mentors and a large number of parents made the journey to Clarecastle, Ennis, to compete in the 17th annual Stephen O Keeffe competition along with Roanmore of Waterford.
In the weeks leading to the tournament the boys played some top class opposition from across Ulster, which left the boys well prepared for the weekend and on leaving Armagh, the spirits and expectations were high.
On the way south the boys were treated to a coaching session with Galway All Ireland winner Brian Mahony in his home pitch, Loughrea. The session was very well received by the players and managers and the club would like to thank Brian for giving up his time for the time he was with the boys.
On arrival in Clarecastle, and after the welcome formalities were out of the way the weekend began with the Skills competition; named after Clare legend John Hanley.
Sean Reilly and Oisin Hughes from Cuchulainns, along with two players from the opposition sides, completed the six skills; ground striking, free-taking, jab-lift and strike, long puck and a solo-run and strike.
After scoring very well in the opening five skills the scores were close going into the long puck between the two Armagh boys and Clarecastle’s Lorcan Clancy, but a mighty puck landing well over the midfield line from Oisin Hughes at his first attempt (of five attempts) sealed first place and the skills trophy with Sean Reilly finishing third behind second placed Lorcan Clancy.
The six competing players were called to the presentation area where the Clarecastle club president spoke very well about the boys and the weekend itself congratulating all the clubs for making the journey. The final scores and standings were called out and the John Hanley cup was presented to Oisin Hughes to the delight of the Armagh support.
The Friday evening closed with the boys being sorted into their host accommodation for the weekend and the coaches/parents retiring for a quiet social get together.
Early on Saturday morning (after a short night’s sleep for most of the boys!) the games began.
The games were all played 11aside with each club entering teams in an A section for u12 players and B Section for u11 players. The games on the Saturday were superbly refereed by All Ireland national referee Rory Hickey under the go-games philosophy, and in great sunny weather.

Up first for the Armagh boys was the host team Clarecastle, in this game the Cuchulainns took a while to find their feet, conceding some soft scores. But once they found their rhythm, the defence led by team captain Martin Rafferty and Ben Devlin played some excellent balls through to Shane Morgan and the other forwards, who were starting to test the Clarecastle defence hitting some superb shots in the process. Towards half time some of the attacks from the Clare boys where cancelled out by hard working Paraig Foy, Shea Mc Kernan and Colin Sheehan and in attack Alex Comiskey and Ryan Rafferty were taking balls to hand first time with no fuss.
The second half started better for Cuchulainns but an injury to a midfielder hampered their chances of a comeback. In nets Georgie Mc Cool continued to save ball after ball and puck outs were placed well to Oisin Moen and Tiarnach Sheridan who worked hard all day setting up attacks for Shea Donnelly and Sean Reilly, most of which were unlucky not to make it over and under the nets.
Final Score Clarecastle 3-09 Cuchulainns 0-03

Up first for the u11 team captained by Eoin Kearney was the sky blue of Roanmore.
By time throw-in came, the sun was lifting further into the sky and the heat was starting to build up on the field. This meant that the rule of continuous running substitutes was going to be a big factor in the game.
Cuchulainns started on the best footing possible picking off two early goals. Once Roanmore switched on around the middle of the field, the attacks came thick and fast but Daniel ‘The Rock’ Nugent assisted by Liam Moore and Ronan Quinn cleared the balls towards the midfield manned by the Dougans; Oisin, Conor and Sean who played pinpoint passes into the goal hungry foward line of skills champion Oisin Hughes, Kilkenny’s Levi Woods, Oisin Campbell and Oran Darragh. Unfortunately the Roanmore defence tightened up considerably but nonetheless the boys piled on the pressure and kept the Waterford keeper busy.
After the half both teams traded attacks which added to the scoring tally on both sides. Some fine play from the substitutes Eoin Killen, Senan Prunty and James Hughes ensured the ball was effectively used and in the closing minutes the boys came under pressure but stood strong and ran out winners.
Final Score Cuchulainns 4-03 Roaanmore 0-03

The section A team played Roanmore in their second game, in what turned out to be one of the highest scoring games of the weekend with a total of eighteen scores between the sides.
Fortunately Cuchulainns notched off a bigger tally than their opponents.
The first half started nicely for the Armagh boys and having one game under their belt, knew what the playing surface was like whereas Roanmore were fresh to the pitch.
The midfield pairing worked well with some good ground play and in the forwards; Alex Comiskey and the wee workhorse Morgan capitalised on the great supply and forced the referee to start writing in his note-pad (for the right reasons).
When the Waterford boys played the ball into their forwards it put our defence of Mc Kernan and Sheehan under pressure, and after a few near misses the green flag was raised.
The boys raised the level of their performance towards half time and went in at the break ahead of Roanmore. Refuelled and with the team-talk over, the boys lined out with Paraig Foy moving into the backs with Colin Sheehan and in attack Tiarnach Sheridan and Oisin Moen coming into play. These moves strengthened the side and the scores started coming after hard work, again in the middle of the field. Towards the end of the game and after Cuchulainns’ pressured the Waterford defence an overlapping Roanmore attack left Paraig Foy on his own with an attacker going for goal, but when left his man, he made a tackle sure to bring a tear to the eye of many a rugby player, stopping a shot sure to be a goal in the process. This gave his team the confidence to hit a few more scores before the final whistle making the scoreboard look better in the process.
Final Score Cuchulainns 5-06 Roanmore 3-04

In the last game on the Saturday Eoin Kearney’s team lined up against Clarecastle boys.
The hunger pains were starting to build but nonetheless the boys set about their task in a great manner holding the opposition to all but a few scoring chances in the first half.
By time the second half started the sun was high in the sky and the Cuchulainns, buoyed from a positive first half performance continued to push forward and pick off scores whilst remaining responsible at the back limiting the hosts to very few chances which rarely threatened the goal.
By the final whistle the lads were looking forward to their barbecue lunch!
Final Score Cuchulainns 4-03 Clarecastle 2-01

The organising committee confirmed after play that Cuchulainns and Roanmore would contest the Stephen O Keeffe shield final, with Cuchulainns and Clarecastle competing in the final of the Stephen O Keeffe Cup.

On the Saturday afternoon/evening the players and mentors of the three teams left the pitch and travelled to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park where they let their hair down after a hard day’s hurling.
In the late evening the host club has arranged a marquee complete witch barn-dance and an excellent music band that played well into the night.
Mass on Sunday morning was attended by all players, some of whom took part in the readings and offertory procession. The local parish priest highlighted the importance of the weekend and had a kind word to say to all the travelling players.

The first final of the day was the shield final thrown in at 10.15am.
Played at 20 minutes per half the Roanmore boys were keen not to concede soft goals that had them beaten the first day.
The Armagh boys showed well for the ball early on and a few attacks resulting in a couple of scores settled the forwards. At the back things were going well until an opportune goal seemed to startle the defence, but in fine fashion all the players got back in the hunt with some great attacking play.
After the halftime break Roanmore again raised the green flag but the boys in yellow dug deep and responded very well as a team and saw the game out to the end of which they where well deserved victors.
Final score Cuchulainns 4-02 Roanmore 2-00

In the cup final, thrown in at 11.15am, Cuchulainns where out to prove that Saturday’s result didn’t reflect the hurling abilities of Armagh side.
The opening ten minutes were played at a high tempo and Clarecastle appeared flustered by the enthusiasm and determination of the Cuchulainns players in their separate battles all over the field.
Cuchulainns midfield and forwards pressurised the Clare defence into making basic errors and only for some close shots that trailed wide the Cuchulainns could have opened a commanding lead.
Once the Clare boys found their way and starting getting the ball into our danger area, they scored two well taken goals whereas Cuchulainns has only two points on their board.
At halftime the water was lapped up by all players and the instructions were given out for the plan of attack for the second half - score goals!
A few positional changes in the forward line was a clear statement of the Cuchulainns game plan and within ten minutes the goal tally reached three for the Cuchulainns, all coming from young Murtagh. Clarecastle had taken the half time break seriously too and they were starting to hit some great scores. With the game moving into the closing few minutes a superb individual run from half forward Oisin Moen ended with a fantastic goal leaving the Armagh men a point ahead.
The referee signalled that two minutes of additional time would be played. At this stage of the game the kitchen sink was on the field as the Cuchulainns boys were looking to the final whistle but the Clarecastle fullback Eoin O Hara had moved up the field intent of inflicting damage to the opposition and after scoring a mighty 65 free to level the scores was presented with a free just on the midfield line. The ball was converted and the final whistle sounded.
Final Score Clarecastle 3-06 (15) Cuchulainns 4-02 (14)

The tears and cheers that followed from both sides were a sure sign that the likes of this game would only ever be seen again in Croke Park on the big stage. The intensity of both teams added to a wonderful, hard-hitting, fairly fought match being played and although Cuchulainns lost by a point, they left the field feeling like champions. The crowd that was there showed their appreciation to all the players who had hurled all weekend to the highest standard.

The presentations of the trophies and awards followed the matches:
Clarecastle accepted the Stephen O Keeffe Cup from members of the O Keeffe family.
Cuchulainns accepted the Stephen O Keeffe Shield from members of the O Keeffe family.
Killian Mc Dermott accepted the Christy ‘Wax’ Guinnane Trophy for overall player of the tournament from the Guinnane family.
Liam Moore of Cuchulainns accepted the Cuchulainns player of the tournament.
Craig Reidy of Roanmore accepted the Roanmore player of the tournament.
Mark Russell of Clarecastle accepted the Clarecastle player of the tournament.

John Sheehan spoke on behalf of the club and thanked the hosts for the wonderful planning, organisation and execution of the entire weekend and for the hospitality shown by the parents and members of the Clarecastle club. He thanked all the players and their families for such a successful weekend that would be remembered by the boys for a lifetime and closed by inviting Clarecastle and Roanmore to Armagh in August 2012.

The Cuchulainns panel that travelled where;
Martin Rafferty, Eoin Kearney, Ben Devlin, Daniel Nugent, Jordan Murtagh, Levi Woods, Paraig Foy, Oran Darragh, Alex Comiskey, Senan Prunty, Colin Sheehan, Oisin Campbell, Georgie Mc Cool, Liam Moore, Shea Mc Kernan, Sean Dougan, Sean Reilly, Eoin Killen, Oisin Moen, Oisin Dougan, Shea Donnelly, Conor Dougan, Ryan Rafferty, James Hughes, Tiarnach Sheridan, Oisin Hughes, Shane Morgan and Ronan Quinn.

The management would like to thank all the parents of all the players, the club members that played any part in organisation of the weekend as well as travelling support. Thank you also to anybody who helped raise the funds necessary to go on the trip and to Ian Donnelly, who sponsored a lovely set of Cuchulainns polo-shirts.
An enjoyable weekend was had by all and the already the club looks to next year when Clarecastle and Roanmore travel north; where Cuchulainns and Armagh City will be the hosts of the 18th Annual Stephen O Keeffe weekend.

Seniors Retain Yellow Ford Shield
A shadow Cuchulainns team regained their Yellow Ford Shield with a facile victory over St Endas of Glengormley by scoreline of 1-15 to 0-4. Ronan McWilliams was on top of his game in goals, the young brigade of Marley,R Gribbin,McCullough and Reido marshalled the backline while Apple and Conor Devlin ran midfield(literally). Captain for the night was Buttsy McArdle in corner forward and despite a few hard knocks lasted the full game and scored a nice point and at the end of the match received the Shield and a 2 word victory speech!!

Seniors Battle to Draw with Keady
Cuchulainns battled their way to a well deserved draw with Keady in Pearse Og Park last week. Cuchulainns opened with 2 frees from Paddy Heaney, and after 10 minutes led by 5 points to 2..Heaney continued to chip away and by half time had 7 points(4 frees) backed up by points from Chris Coulter,Tony Duffy and Cormac Moen to leave Cuchulainns leading by 10 points to 5.The second half began with Keady on the front foot and very soon they had scored 1-2 to level the scores. However another brace of points from Paddy Heaney extended the lead again only for Keady to level again. In the last 10 minutes both teams exchanged points to leave the match finishing Cuchulainns 0-14 Keady 1-11. Top scorer and outstanding play say Paddy Heaney score 0-11(0-6 frees) and he was well backed up by good performances all over the pitch, especially Cliff,Tony Duffy and Reido.A good performance also from Cormac "Squeak" Moen who was playing his first competitive match in a few years. 2011 - Fergus Moen Cup Match and Club Day
The Fergus Moen Cup was contested a few Sundays ago. Having initially being called off due to poor weather, the refixed date was a great day for hurling. Earlier in the day the Under 12 squad played a no. of small sided games which were well attended by all children and parents.
In the senior game the numbers gathered and teams were picked, with Cahal Moen captaining the Yellow team and Liam Moan captaining the Black Team.
Experienced ‘All Ireland Referee’ Padraig O Connor got proceedings underway with the yellow team picking off some fine early scores before the black team found their gear. Just before half time with a few points separating the sides the balled dropped to Ronan Hart who smashed the ball as lightly as possible towards the goal resulting in a less than great save.
Half time gave the boys a good chance for a hydration break.
The second half started in the black teams favour with some great hurling by John ‘The Bull – Tommy Walsh’ Mc Ardle setting up scores. With ten minutes left to play young Martin Scallon raised the tempo and the yellows ran out winners.
The winner of the Fergus Moen trophy was Cormac Moen (shown below) , who covered alot of ground and played some great hurling.
Thanks on the day go to the players and supporters who came out to watch the games and the Moen family for providing trophies and refreshments.

Senior Team Update:
The senior squad has restarted the league campaign after the break for the Ulster hurling championship and played Middletown at home, losing out on a score of 4.14 to 1.11. They also played Dungannon away from home and lost by a point, the win came in a last minute attack for the Tyrone side.
They have also played Carrickmore in the league and ran out winners 1-20 to 2-14.

Under 18 Update:
The minor league has also resumed following the Ulster championship and the boys played derrynoose at home last Sunday.
Playing with the bare 13 on both sides the hurling on display was of a pleasing standard, with Cuchulainns winning 2-13 to 2-6

Under 16 Update:
Again having returned from a summer break the lads have restarted their league campaign but were disappointingly beaten by Dungannon two weeks on the trot, although there were some great positives from the performance of some players. Before the Ulster Senior Hurling Final the squad travelled to Gort na Mona of Antrim for a challenge and came away with a convincing win, with some fine performances from the defence as a unit.

Under 14 Update:
The boys have returned from their summer break in time to compete in the second round of the league. The boys are in division 2 and play Killeavy, Sean Treacys and Craobh Rua and have 2 points as Killeavy didn’t field last Monday.
At a joint training session with the Under 12 squad the players were coached by Tipperary players Padraig Maher and Noel Mc Grath as well as Michael Mc Cullagh of Ulster Council.
The session which lasted over hour and half was very well received by the players and the club members in attendance.
The two players were presented with a Club jersey and a token of appreciation for giving up their time, especially considering it was the week leading up to the Munster Hurling Final.

Under 12 Update:
Having returned from a summer break the boys are deep in training for the Stephen O Keeffe tournament and were invited to participate in an annual blitz hosted by Kevin Lynchs of Dungiven. A number of challenge games have been arranged against Antrim and Tyrone sides.
As mentioned the young boys will be travelling to Clarecastle in Ennis Co Clare to play in the Stephen O Keeffe tournament from August 19th – 21st.
The tournament, contested by Clarecastle of Ennis, Roanmore of Waterford and Cuchulainn hurling club has grown in stature year-on-year and having taken the 7aside cup home last year the boys are fully intent on retaining it this year.
The plans have been ongoing since June to ensure the weekend is as enjoyable as ever for all the young boys and their families and the fundraising for the weekend is ongoing, so if take a look out for any young Cuchulainns with a ‘MyArmagh’ sponsor sheet.

Under 10/8 Update:
After a break for the summer holidays and a quick recharge of the batteries (players and coaches alike) the boys played host to Fingallions of Dublin in what was an action packed day for the travelling side – having played football earlier the same day against Pearse Og.
The boys played off a number of games in the great weather with some great performances all over the field from all the players. At the end of the games all players received a Cuchulainns medal and a light snack before travelling home.
Training continues on Thursdays as normal.

Thursday 7th July

Under 8/10
We will be taking a short break over the July fortnight so our last session will take place on Thursday 7th July in preparation for the blitz on Saturday 9th July in St Malachy’s Portadown. We will only be sending U8’s to this as our U10’s will be hosting Fingallions from Dublin that Saturday afternoon in Sherry’s from 2-4pm. All help will be welcome that day. We’ll take the following couple of weeks off and return to training on Thursday 28th July in preparation for the next blitz on 31st July in Middletown. On Saturday 18th June we had 28 boys (2 U8 and 1 U10) playing at the Killeavy blitz. Many thanks to the parents that brought the players down – Jason Cahill, Gary Hughes, Noel Murtagh, Padraig O’Connor, Roisin Mackle, Kevin Rooney, Ciaran Mullen and Claire Poland.

Summer Camp 2011 - 15th to 18th August - more info to follow

Under 12s
U12’s have only had one 11-a-side game since the last meeting and lost to Keady. Training has picked up to two nights per week in preparation for the trip to Clarecastle.

Under 14s
The U14’s have had a lot more hurling this last month, having been hit badly with football and a lack of games in May. They beat Craobh Rua (both league games), lost by two points to Eoghan Rua and won well against Eire Óg (both challenge games).

Under 16s
The U16’s have really only got back into action the last week or two having been on an exam break. The U15 ½ team (Yr 11) lost their championship final by two points to Killeavy in an entertaining game. As winners of the U16 County 9-a-side tournament, the club represented Armagh in the Ulster Tournament on Saturday 18th June in Sarsfields, Belfast. Having being drawn in a tough group the team went down heavily in all three games against O’Donovan Rossa, Lavey and Cuala (Dublin). They then played a game against the fourth placed team in the other section and won against Strabane. With a number of teams pulling out of the U16 League, we have only one league game left against Dungannon.

Minors
The minors let a decent lead slip in last week’s league game versus Na Fianna at Pearse Óg Park, eventually losing by 5.6 to 1.16. We play Keady this coming Saturday in the league.

Seniors
Cuchulainns travelled to Dungannon tonight for an Armagh League fixture and were unlucky to return home empty handed as a last minute fortuitous Dungannon goal resulted in a 2 point loss.In a first half that ebbed and flowed Cuchulainns led at halftime by 6 points to 3with points from Paddy Heaney,Neil and Tony Duffy,Aidan Clifford,Chris Coulter and Paul Mc Kernan..Dungannon began second half stronger and with a quick 1-2 opened up a lead, however 2 points from Paddy Heaney and frees from Chris Coulter put Cuchulainns back in front until a rather lucky Dungannon goal sealed victory.A hard fought game by both teams, for Cuchulainns Ciaran Clifford led well from midfield despite a first minute arm injury,Micky McCullough was dogged in corner back,Paddy Heaney took some good scores,Neil Duffy put in a shift and Tom Marley didnt look out of place nor Caily Gorman when he came on as a sub. Disappointing to be defeated but an encouraging display and great to see a turnout of 28 players!
P Quigley/S Fields/E Gribbin/MMcCullough/C Toal(C Gorman)/T Marley/C Clifford(R Devlin)/S Gribbin/N Duffy/P McKernan/P Heaney/C Coulter/A Clifford(L Moen)/T Duffy..Subs..A Hannon/P Donnelly/N Harvey/R Gribbin/D Rafferty/J Monaghan/P McArdle/J McArdle/P Duffy and Reido.. Scoreres..P Heaney 0-3/C Coulter 0-4/P Mc Kernan,A Clifford,T Duffy and N Duffy all 0-1.
Dungannon 2-7 Cuchulainns 0-11

The club wishes to acknowledge the fantastic achievements of clubmen C Clifford, N Duffy, T Duffy, C Reid, D Coulter (injured), P Heaney as they represented the Club on the County Squad in the Ulster Senior Hurling Championship Final last Sunday at Casement Park against Antrim. Despite losing by only 8 points to a stronger panel the senior county team played brilliantly well and is going from strength to strength. We can only hope that more Cuchulainns players are there to represent them in the seasons to come.

Club Golf Classic Friday 12 August - Teams and sponsorship are most welcome.

Thursday 23rd June

Under 8/10
Coaching for P1-P6 continues on Thursday evenings in Sherry’s from 6-7pm. Numbers have been very good and new faces continue to appear each week.
(Fee to cover hire are £1.50 per child or £2.00 for 2 or more siblings)
On Sunday 15th May we had 32 boys (two teams at U8 and two at U10) playing at the Craobh Rua blitz and they made a very good account for themselves throughout with some excellent hurling on display.
Our own Blitz was cancelled at the last minute due to heavy rainfall and another date will be arranged.
We hope to trial out a text/email alert system entitled “Teamer” over the coming weeks by which you will receive a text/email alert about forthcoming Club events.

Under 12s
The U12’s have played both Killeavy and Na Fianna at 11-a-side and beaten them both comprehensively. A couple of weeks ago they travelled to Keady for a “blitz” but there was only two clubs involved. Having held their own in the 9-a-side games, Keady narrowly defeated them in the 15-a-side match. The following Thursday night they lost out to the same opposition in the 11-a-side format but a lot of the boys had played hurling and football all day representing the school. The CBS won the Hamill Cup for the first time in a number of years and quite a few of our club underage players were involved.
We also had a number of U12’s playing at half time of the Armagh versus Monaghan Ulster Championship game in Newry – Oisin Moen, Eoin Kearney, Liam Moore, Oisin McAnallen and Ryan Rafftery. Both Caolan Gorman and Niall Gannon refereed these games and thanks to Niall Clifford for looking after both the refs and the players on the day. We were also well represented last Sunday with Lorcan Coulter, Cuiaran Donnelly, Oisin Campbell, Oisin Hughes and Colin Sheehan playing at half time of the Down game.

Under 14s
Due to clashes with football, numbers have been badly affected while matches against Doire Núis and Na Fianna had to be re-arranged. Killeavy were also unable to field in the U14 league and the only game this squad had in April / May was a very good challenge game against Naomh Colum Cille which we won by a point. They also lost out to Lurgan on Monday 6 June.

Under 15/16
With our full U16’s on a break due to the exam period, we got a few games in the U15 ½ championship with wins over Craobh Rua and Eire Óg Carrickmore. Keady were unable to field in our other group game and as a result were through to the final against Killeavy but just lost out to physically stronger Killeavey outfit.

Under 18s
The minors have also been on an exam break for the last few weeks but they have been well represented at senior training this last while. Commiserations to Chris Heaney (Mentor), Tiernan Donnelly, Ryan Gribben, Tom Marley and Michael McCullagh who were on the beaten county side against Derry in the Ulster Semi-final.

Seniors
The squad has been severely depleted due to exams, holidays, and injuries. The Club wishes a speedy recovery to C Kane, D Rafferty and D Coulter and possibly others not known at time of issue. On the positive side, the minor squad has been invited to join the seniors and the lads are applying themselves very well and some have experienced the intensity of the senior league.
Congratulations to Jamie McAtarnsey who has been awarded a Gaeltacht scholarship through the GAA.
The lads are due to be away to Keady on Tuesday 21 June but maybe postponed due the historic performance of the County side that defeated Down last Sunday. CHC members on the squad included C Clifford (full-back), P Heaney, T Duffy, C Reid, N Duffy, D Coulter and C Devlin. The very best of luck to our lads and the rest of the County Squad as they prepare to take on Antrim in the Ulster Senior Hurling Final on Sunday 3 July.
The next Ulster HL fixture is away to Carey on Sat 25 June at 4.30pm

Friday 27th May

Under 8/10s
Coaching continues on Thursdays from 6pm-7pm (£1.50 each or £2.00 per 2 or more siblings)
The Club is hosting a County Inter-club Blitz from 10am-12noon on Sunday 5 June. Players should bring a drink and light snack.
Date for your Diary – The Club’s Summer Camp (no cúl camp this year) will take place from Monday 15 – Thursday 18 August.

Under 12s
U12s played their first county outdoor blitz of the year in Keady last Sunday. This was to be a four team event but because of no shows from Lurgan and Portadown we were forced to slightly change the match formats. Both Keady and ourselves had two 9 aside teams so each team had two matches against their oponents. These were keenly contested with some fine performances on both sides notably Daniel Nugent, James Hughes, Alex Comiskey, and young Darragh Milsom. For the final 40 mins a full match was played with Keady running out eventual victors - Shea McKernan, Shane Morgan and Ronan Quinn caught the eye. Thanks to all the parents who supported the boys, also to our young referee Niall Gannon, and Keady club for organising the blitz. Could we express our gratitude to Gary Hughes who has driven the bus to every away fixture for the U12s and also has driven some of the other juvenile teams when needed.
In the Emain Macha League the lads are home to Keady and away to St Malachy’s Portadown in the Orchard County League on Thursday 26 May.

Under 14s
Due to play Killeavy at home on Monday 30 May.

Under 15½ & Under 16s
The under 15½ played Craobh Rua last Friday and are due to play Keady at home this coming Friday evening at Sherrys Field.
Congratulations to Barry Coulter and Conor Quinn who have been selected to join the Ulster Under 16 Elite Hurling Camp this Summer at UUJ from 4th-6th July.

CHC has talent!
Best of luck to the girls this Saturday evening in Silverbridge as they represent Cuchulainn Hurling Club in the final of "My Armagh's Got Talent" - so come along and give the girls your support.

Seniors
Cuchulainns travelled to Middletown last Tuesday in the first league game of the year still missing quite a few first team players due to exams and injury and were defeated 4-9 to 2-7. We got the first score with a point by Paddy Heaney but Middletown replied immediately and after an Aidan Clifford goal Middletown again replied immediately.Christy Kane restored the lead but 3 unanswered points from Middletown restored their lead.Another free from Christy reduced the lead but another Middletown goal left them leading 2-4 to 1-3 at halftime.Another goal early in second half was matched by a Christy Kane free that dropped into the net.Points from Heaney and Reido reduced the gap but an unanswered 1-3 from Middletown sealed the game despite 2 late points from Rory Devlin and Liam Moen leaving final score 4-7 to 2-9.

The following Tuesday 30 sees an even tougher trip away to Carrickmore.

The very best of luck to Paul McKernan next Saturday as he finally drops his "Peter Pan" image and finally settles down to married life with his fine Fintona bride.

Minors
With exams in full flow the league is taking a break but a few of our lads were in action against Fermanagh last week in the Ulster Minor Championship which did neither team any favours as the Orchard put up a cricket score against our western neighbours.
Next League match is a home fixture to Middletown on Sunday 19 June.

Under 16s
No league fixtures for a while but Under 15 1/2 blitzes and County Development squads are in full swing involving several of our players.

Under 14s
The lads are home for the next few weeks - Monday 23 Middletown and Monday 30 Killeavey

Under 12s
The lads are involved in a Go-Games Blitz this coming Sunday in Keady involving several Clubs.
Next League matches for our 2 squads take place on Thursday 28 May

Under 8s / 10s
Craobh Rua Camlocha hosted over 150 young hurlers from five different clubs for an U8 and U10 hurling blitz on Sunday 15th May. There were nine U8 teams playing at 7-a-side using the ‘First-Touch’ Hurling rules while a further seven teams playing at 9-a-side using the ‘Quick-Touch’ rules. We travelled with 2 Under 8 and 2 Under 10 squads and boy what fun these boys had! The skill and determination on show was a credit to everyone involved in Armagh Hurling. After their games were completed the boys all got some water and fruit which was provided by Craobh Rua. Special thanks to the host club and all those clubs, players, mentors and parents who travelled to lend their support on the day!
The next blitz date is Sunday 5th June and this will hosted by Cúchulainns at the Sherry’s Complex from 10am-12pm
Sessions continue every Thursday at 6-7pm at Sherrys Field complex.

Monday 16th May

2011 - Fergus Moen Cup Match and Club Day
The Annual Fergus Moen Cup match played by our club senior and ‘more senior’ players will take place on Sunday 5th June in Sherrys Field. The game will follow the Cuchulainns arranged All County Blitz for Under 8 and Under 10 teams which will be attended by up to 7 teams, and an Under 12 exhibitional game.
This competition has been a major date on the Cuchulainns Calendar and over the past few years has grown in stature throughout the city as it played in memory of a club stalwart.
The day starts early, as mentioned, with the All County Blitz and at 2pm the ball will be thrown in for the senior match so come down early and prepare to stay for a full day of ‘Cuchulainns Hurling’

Senior Team Update:
Our senior team played out the group stages of the Mc Cormack Cup against Craobh Rua, Keady and St Malachys and having finished 2nd in the group, progressed through to the semi final stages where they faced Middletown in Derrynoose.
Unfortunately for the lads the in last ten minutes Middletown took the lead after getting an opportune goal. From there both teams traded points and the game finished with Middletown ahead by 4points.
The management were very pleased with the efforts of the squad that travelled to these games and were delighted to get a chance to ‘blood in’ quite a few minor players in positions all over the field and in many cases the younger players performed exceptionally well.

Under 10/8 Update:
Our Under 10 and Under 8 teams played in a county blitz arranged in Craobh Rua. Teams from Killeavy, Craobbh Rua, Keady and Derrynoose were in attendance and the players played for just under 2 hours. In that time the scores came quickly and there was some good work all over the field by both squads in all their games. The under 8 squad’s star performers were Eoin Murtagh, Ronan O Hagan and debutant Aodhan Boyle, with solid performances from Pearse Donnelly and Padraig Mc Grath helping them get promoted for the last few Under 10 games.
On the Under 10 side the star performers were Lorcan Coulter, Deaglan Connolly, Ciaran Donnelly and Rian O Connor.
Even the weather stayed dry for the young boys and a good day out was had by all - well done boys!

Under 12 Update:
The under 12 squad have had a busy time of it recently with the start of the Under 12 mini games league. The games which are 11 aside on a pitch measured from both 14m line are played over three twenty minute periods. The scores are kept but not used to determine any league position.
As the squad numbers are relatively high at this age group, the management decided that in terms of continued hurling development and individual players ‘game time’ entering 2 teams to play each week would be the best option.
The two teams; Cuchulainn Cats and Cuchulainns Rebels have played in three mini league games to date and are in preparation for a blitz on Sunday coming in Keady.
The Cuchulainns Cats, under the dream team trio of John Sheehan, Gary Hughes and Greg Mc Kernan have played Derrynoose, Craobh Rua both away from home and have won both games, the game against Craobh Rua was largely one sided but both teams played hard and fair hurling and the scores taken reflected the hard work being done on the training field. The second fixture against Derrynoose was a tighter affair with only 6 points separating the teams at the final whistle. The game was a great exhibition of catching, passing and some great tackling on both sides kept the two teams with little between them until near the end when Cuchulainns scored two goals to run out winners. Some of the star performers of the games so far have been Oisin Moen, Oisin Hughes, Shea Mc Kernan, and Shane Morgan.
The Cuchulainns Rebels managed by Noel Murtagh, Tony Duffy and Paddy Lavery have been reliant on a few Under 10 players from Primary 6 to make up the numbers. This team have played Keady, Craobh Rua, and Killeavy. Similar to the cats, the rebels have won all three games. The skill levels on show again testament to the hard work the boys are doing at training and the coaches were pleased with the efforts of the young p6 players. Some good performances from Levi Woods, Alex Comiskey and Oisin Campbell and have caught the eye of the management and parents.
The Under 12 management would like to thank the efforts of our club members; John Mc Ardle, Caolan Gorman and Niall Gannon who signed up to the Armagh Young Whistlers Programme at the start of the year and have since been on duty as referee in the Under 12 mini league games.

Under 14 Update:
The under 14 squad have been in action across Ulster in the past few weeks. Having entered Division 4 of the Ulster Feile the boys made the trip to the Fermanagh County Centre of Excellence in Lissan, where they played Lisbellaw in their first game and picked up a their first competitive win of the season. In the next game they boys faced a very strong Ballyshannon side who dominated both halves of the game running out convincing winners. In the final game of the day they played Carrickmore and having picked up a few injuries on the way a few positional changes were required which weakened the spine of the team. The boys battled hard and lost by 3 points. A trip to the Mc Donalds ‘Health Food’ Restaurant rounded off the day fro the boys. Good performances came from David Ryan, Andrew Dynes and Eoin Walsh.
The league campaign started the Monday after and the team played away to Keady – missing a few stronger players the lads faced an uphill challenge from the start – and the game slowly fell away from the Cuchulainns with Keady running out comfortable winners.
In the next few weeks the boys are playing a few challenge matches and continuing in the league.
Training for this team as always, continues on Friday evenings from 6pm – 7.15pm.

Under 16 Update:
The under 16 league is well underway and with the exam break coming up the Under 15 lads are in the wings ready to start their competition.
The more recent games have been against Keady, which finished in a draw - 1-07 apiece. An away game to Killeavy was hard fought but the boys came away with 2 points in the bag. The following week was a home fixture against Craobh Rua and again the boys picked up 2 points to add to the league tally.
The Under 16 blitz hosted by Randalstown Tir na nOg is coming up in the next few weeks and as mentioned the Under 15 county tournament is also on the cards.

My Armagh - Cuchulainns - Got Talent
On Easter Sunday in Pearse Ogs Social Club, the Cuchulainns Stages of the My Armagh’s Got Talent were held with 8 acts covering a variety of entertainment areas performing to a packed audience and the crowd were treated to a great nights craic.
The two winners of the evening; Jenni Irvine and Eilish Murtagh went forward to the Mid Armagh Semi Final, where club senior player Ciaran Clifford was one of the judges and Padriag O Connor who MC’d the event (neither had a major influence on the success of our acts of course) as both acts have made it through to the All county Final in Silverbridge. Good Luck to you both.
Congratulations to all the acts that helped raise money for the club and a special mention must go to Peter Quigley for his organisation leading up to the event.

The date for the Annual Golf Classic has been finalised as Friday 12 August so pencil in the date and keep it free. More details will follow when they emerge.

Under 12s
The Cats and Rebels got their 2011 season off and running with victories for both squads. The Cats put up a comprehensive 3.18 to 1.0 away to Craobh Rua (Camlough) and the Rebels beat Ceide LD at home by 3 goals which included 4 Primary 6 pupils making their debut. Well done lads!!

Under 14s
The lads participated in the Ulster Hurling Feile last weekend beating Lisbellaw but were defeated by Ballyshannon which must have been a bruising contest as the squad was depleted, through injury, for their last match against Carrickmore which the Tyrone side won.
In the League tonight away to Ceide LD the lads were well beaten but were without at least 4 prominent players.

Under 16s
The lads beat Killeavy away on Friday last and are at home to Craobh Rua this coming Friday 7th at 7pm

All available members please give the lads your support!!!

Seniors
A team mixed with youth and experience travelled to St Malachys Portadown last week and came away with a 5-18 to 0-7 win to book a semi final spot against Middletown in the Mc Cormack Cup.Early scores from Conor Devlin and Philip Duffy set the tone and 2 goals from Aidan Clifford and 1-1 from Ciaran Reid meant at halftime we led by an impressive 3-10 to 0-3 points. The introduction of the evergreen Paul Mc Kernan(0-1) and Chris Coulter(1-1) mixed with a few minors kept things ticking over,Conor Devlin adding another 1-3 and Billy Fields and Cormac Toner controlling the back line meant that Cuchulainns ran out 5-18 t o 0-7 winners.A good performance all round and more vital experience for the younger players in the squad.
Squad: T Donnelly/C Toal/S Fields/M McCullough/D Rafferty/C Toner/N Harvey/D Rafferty/C Toner/N Harvey/E Gribbin(0-1)/S Gribbin(0-1)/P Duffy(0-4 3f)/C Reid(1-1)/C Devlin(1-7)/A Clifford(2-0)/Coco (0-1)/L Moen(0-1)..Subs-P McKernan(0-1)--Coco/Chris Coulter(1-1)--C Reid/C Gorman--L Moen/N Gannon--A Clifford/J McAtarsney--C Toal/J McArdle--D Rafferty.

Under 14s
Feile Shield Final v Middletown (Sat 16 April) - Unfortunately the lads came up short against Middletown last Saturday losing 5.9 to 2.2 but gave a great account of themselves in the second half, which will give them some confidence as they prepare for the Ulster Feile to be played on Saturday 30 April in Fermanagh.
The teams in their group are; Middletown (again), Aodh Ruadh (Donegal), Eire Og (Tyrone), Lisbellaw (Fermanagh), Newry Shamrocks
As finalists good luck to Keady (Division 4) and Derrynoose (Division 3) who will represent Armagh in the All Ireland Feile in Galway in June.

Under 16s
The lads played Keady last Friday evening, after an away victory to Carrickmore, in the League and ended in a draw but Ronan Hart and his mentors will be taking the positive aspects on board in the weeks ahead. Rory McGrath was instrumental in this performance. The next League fixture is away to Killeavey on Friday 29 April.
The Armagh group stages of the Ulster 9 aside under 16 Hurling Competition will take place on Saturday 23rd April in St Patricks Grammar school Armagh from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
Considering their superb performance last year the lads have been invited back to Randalstown on 7 May to partake in the Conor Devlin Tournament.

Minors
The Minors started their League Campaign with a 1 point win over Derrynoose on Sunday 10th April with 14 men for most of the match and were too strong for Camlough last Sunday in Pearse Og park with a rejuvinated Barry Murphy controlling his sector. Next up is Keady away on Sunday 8 May at 12noon.

Seniors
An under strength Cuchulainns team, looking resplendent in their new "PWT" jerseys fell to Keady in the second match of the McCormack Cup at Pearse Og Park by a scoreline of 2-16 to 10 points. Keady got off to a quick start with 3 unanswered points before a free from Christy Kane got Cuchulainns on the scoreboard.
At halftime Keady led by 9 points to 6 (C Kane 0-5 all frees) and a point from Aidan Clifford. Half time saw the introduction of 2 young corner backs in Jack Lynch and Mickey McCullough who both acquitted themselves well against an experienced Keady team. 3 more frees from Christy Kane and a point from another minor Philip Duffy kept the scores close until the last 5 minutes when Keady scored 2-3 to give them a slightly flattering 12 point victory. Overall a satisfactory performance and a special word for the minor players who were there and those who got on didn't look out of place. Half Time CHC 1-11 Camlough 0-1.Second half saw more good scores from all over the pitch and a final score of 3-16 to 1-3. Tuesday 12th April

Senior Team News
Our senior team played their second fixture of the season against St Pauls of Belfast and travelled light in numbers. The scoreline favoured the antrim lads but it was worth the trip to get playing games before the Mc Cormack Cup and league starts.
The Mc Cormack Cup starts this week with an away fixture to Craobh Rua and next week sees a game against Keady.

Minor News
The boys played Derrynoose on Sunday in their first league game. The lads managed to pick up a win by the smallest of margins, 1 point, with a late goal coming from Philip Duffy.

Under 16 News
Training continues at the usual time, high level of attendance is required with league campaign starting soon.
The boys hosted Carrickmore of Tyrone on Friday evening in their first league game. Solid performances from Conall Dougan, Conor Quinn, Liam Gilsenan and Sean Mc Cann saw the home side take a comfortable win on the night. The game gave the management a great opportunity to start assessing and assigning players in different positions with their second game of the league against Keady this coming Friday in Sherrys field with a 7pm throw-in. All support welcome.

Under 14 News
The group stages of the Armagh Feile was played last weekend. Cuchulainns were grouped with Keady and Sean Treacys with Middletown the venue.
Unfortunately, Sean Treacys were unable to fulfil their fixtures which left with one game of hurling for the whole day which was against Keady. The game had only started, and Keadys first attack raised a green flag.
The boys responded very well and in the blazing sun two pointed frees from Shane Cartmill and points from Tom O Kane and Sean Clifford either side of half time kept the boys in touch with Keady. Unluckily the boys conceded a few frees which Keady scored from and the game ended with four points the difference. 1-05 to 0-04 final score.
The boys as second placed team from group1 will play Middletown, second placed in Group 2, in the Feile shield to be played in the Athletic Grounds this Saturday – all support is welcome

The weekend before, the squad was offered a challenge match against Tir na nOg of Randalstown as part of a ceremony to open their new premises. On the day the boys played in front of GAA president Christy Cooney and the boys hurled very well putting the best of their skills on show to the crowd. The game finished 6-10 Randalstown 3-07 Cuchulainns. After the game the boys were treated to lunch by the hosts. The management team and players would like to thank Tir na nOg for the excellent game and the hospitality received on the day.
The league campaign starts the first Monday of May, with an away fixture to Keady.
The Ulster Feile has been arranged for the Saturday before Easter with Cuchulainns entered into Division 4 of the competition.
Training has now moved to St Brigids and all players are asked to be in attendance with a packed programme of games in the coming weeks.

Under 12 News
Training continues on Friday nights from 6-7pm in St Brigids School.
Several of the under 12 players played on the Armagh Primary Schools Development Squad which travelled to Galway recently.
The boys played Clarinbridge, the current All Ireland Club Champions, on the Friday evening. On Saturday the boys had a wall-ball training session followed by matches against Salthill and another local club. In the evening the boys met up with All Ireland winning Captain Eoin Kelly and Player of the Year Lar Corbett of Tipperary, who spoke to the boys and signed a few sticks.
On the Sunday the boys watched Galway v Tipperary in the National Hurling League.
All-in-all a busy weekend and congratulations to all the players.

Season 2010 Preview
With a membership of over 250 and on the back of an All County Title for our Under 16 squad in 2010, Cuchulainns Hurling Club Armagh is a thriving club with a vibrant and enthusiastic underage structure.

Seniors:
Last season our seniors contested the All County Final losing out by a small margin to Keady but retained the Mc Cormack Cup competition which they won for the second year running. 2011 could finally be the year when the Senior Championship trophy returns to the city. Within the Armagh league the team hopes to build on their steady performances last year and, with the county board’s support, play all of their league fixtures. The club is delighted to see several club members don the ‘Orange and White’ of the Armagh Senior Hurling team. We look forward to following their progress in the Christy Ring and National League campaign.

U18:
Our minor team made it to the All County Final where they were beaten by a well fancied Keady side in 2010. Having won the Under 18 11aside county blitz last year, retaining this trophy is the primary aim at the beginning of the year. As the season progresses the team hopes to make full use of its playing squad and make a real push to winning the Minor Championship. After last year’s successes, the club would like to wish the members of the Armagh Minor team all the best as they take a step closer to securing a provincial championship.

Under 16:
The big success story of last year was our Under 16 squad who were crowned County Champions, beating Keady in a thrilling encounter in Crossmaglen. The aim for this team will be hold onto this trophy for the coming year. Having won an All Ireland Feile as Under 14s two years ago, this should put them in pole position, but as always in sport, beware the underdog! With the support of Ulster Council and Armagh’s hurling and football boards, a different match night has been agreed, Friday rather than the original Sunday. This move should in turn offer these lads more competitive hurling, on a more consistent basis.

U14:
One of the major success stories within the club last year was the progress and development made by our U14 squad. The management for the year ahead hope to build the, young but very enthusiastic, squad in a similar manner. Having lost a championship the year previous the younger lads have all the motivation to keep them at hurling and prove themselves next year, couple that with the improved skill levels of the older players, the season ahead looks good.

U12:
With the end of official trophy competitions at this age coming into place, the aim for the year ahead for this squad will be to build on their skills for competition at U14 next year. Playing in small sided blitzes and games allows for greater skills development, and with challenge matches already organised with the top teams in Ulster the season ahead looks busy for these boys. The Annual Stephen O Keeffe tournament, entering its 17th year will be hosted by Clarecastle GAC from August 19th-21st and promises to be as good as ever.

Under 10 & 8:
Under the guidance of club coaching officer Ronan Mc Williams this group of players is already set-up for a great season of hurling. As part of their season, all players can look forward to indoor and outdoor hurling tournaments over the summer, which allow the players to develop and improve their basic skill level. Blitzes will take place throughout the year across Ulster, and there are plans for the club to host Under 8 and 10 blitzes in Armagh.

Local Coaching Courses
The following coaching courses have been planned and organised during the months of February and March of 2011. Please get in contact with the club ASAP if you are interested in attending.

Youth Updates
Under 10:
Our under 10 have taken over from the U12s and are currently taking part in the Ulster Council arranged blitzes. The boys travelled to the Irvine Centre in Bangor and were up against some of the best teams in Ulster. Their first game was against Carryduff, the boys picked up a win in this match with stand out performers Oisin Hughes and Ciaran Donnelly leading the boys throughout. The second match was to be the best match of the day against Hollywood which ended in a draw. With goalkeeper Daire Milsenan playing a stormer the goals were kept to the minimum and Oisin Richards played great out the field and helped the team score. The third game was against Gort Na Mona of Antrim, a game with goals galore from Shane O Hagan and Jack Kennedy on scoring duty throughout. The last game of the day the legs were getting tired but strong steady performances from Jamie Mc Cool and Lorcan Coulter helped the team pick up their final win of the day. A great day out for the young Cuchulainns, and no doubt nest week will see some great performances once again from ‘Armaghs Finest’!

Under 12:
The final weekend blitz of the Ulster Council organised tournaments took place again in the Irvine Centre in Bangor. The boys were grouped enjoyed the days hurling with two teams fielding in different groups. The improvement made by all the players involved from the first blitz in Banbridge, to now has been excellent and gives the boys great confidence so early into their season. The management would like to thank any parent who gave up their time on numerous Sundays to transport players to and from the tournaments. It hasn’t gone unnoticed and the boys certainly benefited from it. Under 12 training continues in Sherrys field on Friday evenings from 6pm to 7pm. Please wear appropriate gear and bring £1 to cover pitch cost.

Under 14:
Under 14 training continues on a Friday night from 6-7pm in Sherrys field. With a number of challenge matches arranged attendance is essential. £1 per player.

Youth Notes
At present the Under 12 is participating in an Ulster Council led initiative comprising several 5 aside indoor hurling tournaments hosted across Ulster.
The first of these took place in early January when eight players and their parents travelled to Newry, the team played games against Newry Shamrocks, Ballyvarley, Castlewellan and Dungannon picking up three wins and drawing the other game on the day.
Last Sunday morning the boys assisted by their parents travelled to the Eddie Irvine Sports Centre in Bangor to play in the second tournament.
Being grouped with some of the strongest hurling sides in Ulster, the boys faced a tough challenge but one which they were fit to handle picking up wins against Ballycran and Portaferry, losing out narrowly to O’Donovan Rossa in their first game and in the last game the energy levels dropped and a strong Bredagh/Carryduff team picked up a convincing win.
The team and management are delighted to be offered the opportunity to play hurling at such an early stage in the season especially against the ‘Pick of Ulster’, and already, challenge matches have been arranged for when the pitches dry out!

Under 12 training continues in Sherrys field on Friday evenings from 6pm to 7pm. Please wear appropriate gear and bring £1 to cover pitch cost.
